Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the unique needs and objectives of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Provide ongoing support and education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

• Monitor client progress, regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on therapeutic effectiveness.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care solutions for clients.

• Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional growth opportunities to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Advocate for clients, addressing mental health stigma and ensuring that they receive the necessary support and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will work with a diverse population, including children, families, homeless individuals, refugees, and domestic abuse victims. The role requires a sensitive and empathetic approach to understand and address the unique challenges faced by each client.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
