Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health and substance use challenges, ensuring to assess for co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create customized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapies and interventions geared towards effective recovery.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions focused on developing essential coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills.

• Engage actively with our multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and strategies that enhance client care and promote integrated treatment plans.

• Monitor substance use through regular evaluations and employ motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients on their recovery paths.

• Educate clients and their families regarding the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment.

• Ensure precise and timely documentation of all treatment progress and interventions, maintaining compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences and training sessions to remain informed on the latest in co-occurring disorder treatments and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly focus on individuals struggling with dual diagnoses of mental health issues and substance use disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele, consistently applying compassion and expertise to facilitate their journey towards holistic recovery and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is essential.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A solid understanding of the intricacies of both mental health and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.
