Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and document client cases from the first consultation through the treatment process, ensuring all records are maintained accurately and confidentially.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health in order to develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the individual needs of clients.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices that promote self-efficacy and recovery.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and goals.
\n
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive intervention strategies that enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Follow up with clients' psychiatrists and other treating physicians for those who require hospitalization, ensuring seamless continuity of care upon discharge.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to enhance their ability to cope with mental and behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your role will focus on fostering a therapeutic alliance and creating a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal, utilizing a person-centered approach to engage clients effectively.

• Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, creating meaningful connections with clients that foster trust and encourage openness.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, particularly in telehealth or remote therapy contexts.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, and proficiency in their usage to document and track patient progress.

• Understanding of chronic mental health conditions, addiction issues, and the interaction between mental and physical health.
\n
• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices regarding clinical interventions.
\n
• In-depth understanding of the effects of prescribed medications on mental health outcomes.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
