Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, affording flexibility while ensuring robust support systems are in place. As a member of our dedicated Mental Health Team, you will work collaboratively with other social workers, psychologists, and special education staff to deliver holistic mental health care. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends to accommodate students' needs. On-call availability may also be part of the role.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices to understand students’ emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring alignment with educational goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal growth.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support to students facing acute mental health challenges, including de-escalation techniques and immediate counseling.

• Collaborate with educational staff, including teachers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for students, integrating therapeutic techniques into the learning environment.

• Provide psychoeducation to students and their families concerning mental health issues, available support services, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to share insights and strategies, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Stay updated on relevant mental health regulations, therapeutic techniques, and ethical guidelines to ensure best practices in all interactions.

Your primary focus will be on students with special needs, encompassing a diverse range of mental health conditions including ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New York.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical social work setting, preferably within educational contexts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
