Work Environment\n

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' emotional, social, and financial needs in collaboration with educational and healthcare teams.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing issues related to adjustment, grief, anxiety, depression, and coping strategies.

• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans that align with each student's unique needs, ensuring appropriate follow-up and support.

• Work with community organizations to facilitate access to additional resources and post-service options for students and their families.

• Participate in multidisciplinary staff meetings to contribute to case discussions and share insights on clients' social work needs.

• Offer training and support to faculty on recognizing mental health challenges in students and strategies for effective communication.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on school-age children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, including individuals facing various socio-economic challenges. As an LCSW, you will be pivotal in identifying at-risk youth and providing them with the tools needed to navigate their emotional and social hurdles. You will engage with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic support system that fosters positive development and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n
