Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients’ life circumstances and treatment needs.

• Coordinating care with other health care professionals and community agencies to ensure holistic treatment approaches.

• Providing individual, family, or group therapy sessions aimed at promoting mental wellness.

• Consulting with team members to offer insights and recommendations on client treatment strategies.

• Documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical evaluations to maintain accurate medical records in accordance with established policies.

• Liaising with community resources to connect clients with additional support such as vocational training, housing assistance, or educational services.

• Participating in disposition planning and advocating for the needs of clients throughout their therapeutic journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves adult and geriatric populations, with the potential to expand services to children and adolescents in the near future. You will be instrumental in addressing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. By utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, you will directly contribute to improving clients’ overall mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of theoretical and clinical models relevant to family therapy.

• Ability to build effective therapeutic relationships and maintain rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.

• Excellent skills in clinical documentation and the preparation of clear, insightful treatment summaries.

• Knowledge of relevant social work ethics and the responsibilities associated with the scope of practice.

• Proficient in conducting mental status examinations and recognizing changes in clients’ mental health.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
