Harris Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a full-time Outpatient Clinical Social Worker at our Hospice Center in beautiful Norwalk, Connecticut. Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to connect with clients in their homes while maintaining a professional work-life balance. You will engage with clients primarily through phone and video conferencing, making your skills in virtual communication essential. The work schedule is structured from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, allowing for stability while providing the necessary support for individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs and gather relevant personal and social information to understand their situations.

• Engage with clients via telephone and video calls to discuss their circumstances, refer them to appropriate services, and monitor their progress.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies during emergencies, including assessing immediate risks and coordinating rapid responses.
\n
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to clients' needs, ensuring they understand their options and available community resources.
\n
• Collaborate with local agencies, social services, and healthcare providers to facilitate referrals for additional support services.
\n
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately, adhering to best practices and confidentiality standards.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, including training and team meetings, to enhance your skills and share best practices within the organization.

• Remain vigilant for signs of child abuse or neglect, ensuring proper reporting procedures are followed as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients who are affected by various socio-economic challenges, including neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health issues, and parental substance abuse. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be critical in helping clients navigate their circumstances effectively. You’ll help empower vulnerable individuals and families to take charge of their lives, fostering resilience and promoting recovery through support and guidance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a closely related field is required for this role.

• Must possess a valid LCSW license to practice in Connecticut.

Compensation and Benefits\n
