This full-time role is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Tenafly, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations for each resident upon intake, assessing their current level of function and setting realistic, achievable goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to the needs and abilities of each resident, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on mobility enhancement, strength training, balance improvement, and pain management strategies.
• Continuously monitor residents' progress, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage collaboratively with nursing staff, caregivers, and other therapy disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
• Educate residents, their families, and facility staff on effective body mechanics, fall prevention strategies, and ongoing mobility techniques to promote safety and independence.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions and updates to treatment plans, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves an adult geriatric population, with residents typically aged between 40 to 65 years, many facing mobility challenges or recovering from surgeries or injuries. Our therapists focus on creating an uplifting atmosphere that motivates residents to actively participate in their own recovery journeys. Qualifications

• Possession of an active New Jersey Physical Therapist (PT) License is a must.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; advanced degrees (DPT, MPT) are preferred.

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team dynamic.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of experience working with geriatric or assisted living populations is preferred but not required.
• Experience in rehabilitative practices, particularly in an assisted living or rehabilitation setting, will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
