As our commercial business grows, we are expanding through vertical-specific Business Development Partners who bring established industry relationships, market knowledge, and the ability to create qualified new business opportunities.

The Opportunity

\n

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Partner - Collegiate Athletics & Sports Performance with established relationships and proven business development experience within collegiate athletics and performance.

\n

This is a commission-only role at launch with no base salary. It is best suited for an experienced industry professional who already understands the collegiate athletics ecosystem, knows the decision-makers, and can independently develop qualified opportunities.

\n

This is a vertical-focused role, not a geographic territory.

\n

Primary markets include collegiate athletic departments, sports performance, athletic training, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, sports science, human performance, athlete recovery, and university training facilities.

\n

Mito's internal B2B team provides product education, sales materials, proposal and quoting support, solution development, pilot planning, implementation support, and ongoing account support.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Leverage existing relationships to develop qualified opportunities within collegiate athletics and sports performance.
\n
• Build relationships with Athletic Directors, Associate and Deputy Athletic Directors, Sports Performance Directors, Athletic Trainers, Strength and Conditioning leaders, Sports Medicine staff, and other performance decision-makers.
\n
• Identify athletic departments evaluating new recovery, performance, and athlete wellness solutions.
\n
• Conduct initial discovery around current programs, facility environment, athlete needs, available space, and organizational priorities.
\n
• Introduce appropriate Mito commercial red and near-infrared light therapy solutions.
\n
• Partner with Mito's B2B team through discovery, evaluation, proposal, and close.
\n
• Identify opportunities for pilots, product evaluations, recovery-room integrations, and broader implementation.
\n
• Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity activity within Mito's CRM.

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• 5+ years of direct sales, business development, strategic partnerships, account management, or relevant industry experience within collegiate athletics, sports performance, athletic training, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, sports science, recovery technology, or a closely related market.
\n
• Established professional relationships with relevant collegiate athletics and performance decision-makers.
\n
• Proven ability to independently build B2B or institutional pipeline and develop new business.
\n
• Understanding of collegiate athletic department structures and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
\n
• Strong consultative and relationship-based selling skills.
\n
• Experience navigating institutional budgeting, procurement, pilots, or longer sales cycles is a plus.
\n
• Experience with sports performance technology, recovery technology, athletic training equipment, or related solutions is a plus.

Compensation

\n

This is a commission-only opportunity with no base salary at launch.

\n

Compensation is earned on qualifying commercial business according to Mito Red Light's written commission structure.

\n

Commission eligibility, lead registration, account protection, qualifying revenue, reorder opportunities, and payment terms will be reviewed as part of the engagement process.
