Senior Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist

This full-time position focuses on orthopedic outpatient care, where you will play a critical role in helping patients regain mobility, enhance their physical functions, and improve their overall quality of life. Work Environment

This role is purely onsite, enabling you to work closely with patients in a facility designed explicitly for rehabilitation. Your work schedule will typically be from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, which facilitates a healthy work-life balance. The environment is fast-paced, given the high demand for personalized care, and requires a strong commitment to patient-centered approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations through comprehensive physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that focus on promoting movement, improving strength, and restoring mobility.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to achieve desired outcomes for each patient.
• Maintain a patient load of one patient per hour to ensure focused attention and quality care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercise techniques, and the importance of adherence to therapy.
• Conduct regular evaluations of treatment effects, monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in accordance with organizational policies and EMR standards. Familiarity with EMR software such as WebPT is preferred.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare practitioners, to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient base primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, seeking treatment for orthopedic conditions and injuries. As a Physical Therapist at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will engage with a diverse clientele, including athletes, active adults, and post-surgical patients. Your role will involve working closely with these individuals to guide them through their rehabilitation journey, providing them with the tools and encouragement they need to reclaim their mobility and return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• At least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise routines tailored to patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a private practice setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities in orthopedic rehabilitation. Candidates who have successfully implemented fitness and wellness programs in their practice will be highly valued. A track record of collaboration with other healthcare professionals to drive comprehensive care is also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
