Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Journey Behavioral Counseling Center, your daily tasks will include:

• Engaging directly with assigned clients both in virtual settings and in community schools, providing tailored counseling services.

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and appropriate screenings to identify the specific needs of each student.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and educators to develop and implement integrated care plans that link students to necessary resources.

• Monitoring and managing case progress, ensuring timely interventions and consistent follow-up with clients.
\n
• Facilitating crisis interventions when necessary, equipping students with coping strategies and support mechanisms.
\n
• Educating clients and families about mental health issues, community resources, and available services, helping them become advocates for their own well-being.

• Documenting all interactions and maintaining accurate and confidential records according to both state regulations and Journey Behavioral Counseling Center's policies.

• Participating in agency committees and meetings to improve service delivery and promote quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with children and adolescents in school settings, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma. You will be instrumental in developing preventive strategies by conducting workshops and programs aimed at fostering emotional resilience among students, ultimately aiming to reduce mental health stigma and promote a culture of acceptance and understanding within schools.

Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required; advanced degrees are preferred.

• Proficient skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating diverse patient populations through various therapeutic modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for effective engagement with clients and collaboration with colleagues.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a caseload effectively and ensure timely follow-ups.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Journey Behavioral Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
