Work Environment

The position is located at our modern outpatient office in Lehigh Acres, Florida, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, and administrative staff in a supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork and continuous professional development. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical condition and functional abilities, establishing precise baseline metrics.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on orthopedic principles, ensuring they align with each patient's goals and medical history.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to restore function and mobility in patients suffering from musculoskeletal disorders.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress through standardized outcome measures and adjust treatment plans to reflect changes in patient status.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and prevent re-injury.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach, sharing insights and adjustments in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and age-related ailments. Your approach will center around creating compassionate and effective treatment pathways, ensuring that every patient feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop and execute effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
• A positive, patient-centered attitude that fosters a supportive therapy environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with trigger point therapy techniques and knowledge of hospital-based medicine are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and enhance team communication.
• A background in geriatrics or sports rehabilitation is a plus, catering to a broad spectrum of patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
