Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with us, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at promoting patient mobility and function:

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical conditions and symptoms, tailoring assessments to individual needs.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and collaborate with the patient to develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Instruct patients on the correct application of therapeutic exercise techniques to maximize recovery and reinforce healthy habits.
• Utilize various modalities, including massage and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and promote healing in your patients.
• Guide patients in the use of rehabilitative equipment, such as wheelchairs and walkers, to ensure their safety and independence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, tracking progress against set goals to evaluate treatment efficacy.
• Educate patients and their families about in-home care options and additional exercises to support ongoing recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve a diverse group of patients, ranging from children with developmental challenges to adults recovering from surgeries or injuries. Each interaction will require compassion and adaptability to handle different physical conditions and emotional states, ensuring each patient receives individually tailored therapy.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, crucial for patient interaction and teamwork.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• A flexible and adaptable approach to different patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, with additional training in modalities such as Kinesiology or Manual Therapy beneficial but not required. New graduates with a passion for rehabilitation and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
