Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and improved work-life balance while still maintaining the supportive structure of an outpatient office environment. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a setting that fosters communication, idea exchange, and professional growth. Our Monday to Friday schedule eliminates weekend obligations and provides a focused workweek of 36 hours, with the potential for accommodation to a 32-hour workweek if needed. Additionally, there are no on-call requirements, allowing you to dedicate your time solely to your patients and professional development.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments focusing on obesity and binge eating to understand the psychological factors influencing weight control.

• Utilize standardized testing to guide therapy selection, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed.

• Provide individual counseling sessions addressing the emotional, behavioral, and psychological impediments related to weight management.
\n
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each patient, enhancing the likelihood of successful outcomes.

• Educate patients about the psychological impacts of weight control, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.

• Collaborate with medical specialists to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, addressing both physical and mental health concerns.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where patients can share experiences and encouragement with peers.

• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system.

• Stay informed on the latest trends and research in mental health and weight management to continuously improve treatment effectiveness.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including teaching prospects if interested.

• Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.

• Collaborate actively within the team, participating in case discussions and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals dealing with obesity and binge eating disorders, necessitating a compassionate approach and a deep understanding of the complex psychological factors that contribute to these challenges. Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
\n
• Must possess a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Florida.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate patient engagement and treatment documentation.

• Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 15 pounds for administrative tasks.
\n
• Visual acuity for various tasks including close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in mental health counseling specific to weight management or eating disorders is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR system or similar electronic records systems is a plus.

• Demonstrated success in providing group therapy and individual counseling is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
