This full-time position entails working remotely from your home base, with a primary focus on supporting veterans and their families through a variety of challenging life circumstances, including divorce and relationship counseling. Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working from home, you will have the opportunity to effectively balance your work and personal life while providing high-quality therapeutic support to your clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the prevalence, intensity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders.

• Empower clients and their families with education on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, and update treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health care professionals to promote integrated care.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in emotional and psychological treatment methods to refine your therapeutic approach.
\n
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to eliminate stigmatization associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly focuses on serving veterans and their families, addressing their unique emotional challenges and interpersonal issues. You will engage with clients navigating life transitions, including relationships, family dynamics, and the impacts of military service on mental health. Your approach will be tailored, recognizing the complexities of each client’s individual journey, and leveraging therapy modalities that resonate with their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

• Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental demeanor while engaging with clients.

• Possess strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage caseloads effectively while fulfilling administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing therapy in a community health or mental health clinic setting, preferably working with veteran populations.

• Familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities, including structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, and narrative therapy.

• Previous experience in divorce and relationship counseling is highly desirable.
