Our community health clinic operates Monday through Saturday, providing a structure where you can organize your workflow and schedule client sessions at times that work best for you. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Your assessments will guide treatment planning and therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs.

• Engage in ongoing communication with clinical staff, participating in regular meetings such as patient rounds to discuss progress, treatment strategies, and interdisciplinary care planning.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities, to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals and fulfilling their individualized service plans.

• Provide case management services, collaborating with healthcare providers and community resources to ensure that all aspects of clients’ care are being addressed.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, upholding ethical standards and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your ability to foster trust and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds will be essential in facilitating effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must be licensed as a:

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Additionally, applicants are expected to have:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling.

• The ability to work flexibly, ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week based on client needs and personal availability.

While the minimum experience requirement is two years, candidates with advanced knowledge of trauma-informed care, group therapy dynamics, or specialized certifications in areas such as CBT or DBT will find themselves well-suited for this position. Prior experience working in a community health setting is a plus.
