Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide therapeutic support to students experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional challenges, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to their needs.

• Implement a variety of short-term intervention strategies, including treatment planning, crisis intervention, and recovery-focused counseling.

• Attend and actively contribute to care team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment modalities, and any necessary adjustments in care plans.

• Facilitate meaningful discussions with clients and their families to align on care goals and advance care planning so that both parties are engaged in the therapeutic journey.

• Act as a patient advocate, balancing the needs of the business with the best interests of your clients, ensuring their voices are heard.

• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to create a network of support for clients.

• Guide clients through the decision-making process related to their treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.

• Equip clients with tools and techniques to enhance communication with their healthcare providers, fostering a collaborative environment for treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be assisting students in a school environment who may be struggling with various psychological issues. This role emphasizes a tailored approach, addressing specific needs such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and other emotional or psychological challenges that can impact a student's educational experience. By working closely with students and their families, you will help create a supportive framework that promotes resilience and mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in social work or a related clinical field.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Extensive knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents, including risk assessment and crisis management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.

• Adept at thriving in a fast-paced and evolving working environment while maintaining focus on client needs.
