Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of students and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental strengths, as well as challenges related to their diagnosis or life situation.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based social work interventions tailored to each specific case.

• Provide ongoing support through crisis intervention and various therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

• Facilitate effective discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing support for students post-hospitalization.

• Engage in continuous education and counseling with families to aid in adapting to challenges associated with illness or life situations.

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource within the organization, offering guidance and expertise to other staff members regarding psychosocial issues and best practices.

• Present at educational conferences, sharing insights and knowledge on psychosocial oncology and related topics with peers in the field.

• Provide education to other healthcare professionals to enhance their understanding of social work interventions and their impact on patient care.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to address urgent needs that may arise outside of regular working hours.

• Contribute to community service initiatives through education, consultation, and active volunteering to strengthen local programs and resources available to cancer survivors and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with students and families who may be dealing with a variety of challenges related to mental health, including anxiety, depression, and other emotional disorders. Your efforts will be directed toward fostering resilience and promoting mental wellness among youth as they cope with their experiences within the school environment.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. A background in school social work or child and adolescent mental health will be advantageous. The candidate should exhibit exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of psychosocial issues affecting youth.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a school setting, especially working with adolescents and families, is highly desirable. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, individual and family therapy practice, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will greatly enhance your ability to be successful in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
