Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, ensuring tailored therapeutic interventions.

• Offer one-on-one counseling sessions focusing on a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Utilize evidence-based techniques and therapeutic methodologies appropriate for each client.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, including support and psychoeducational groups, fostering a sense of community and shared learning among participants.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans, establishing clear, achievable goals and selecting suitable therapeutic interventions based on client needs.

• Provide immediate support to clients in crisis situations, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating emergency interventions with appropriate resources.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training sessions, and peer consultation to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health care.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will directly address the mental health needs of diverse populations, including individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds facing challenges such as stress, substance abuse, unresolved trauma, and severe mental health disorders. You will be the first line of support, helping clients develop effective coping strategies that lead to improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Validation of licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida, including passing state-recognized exams and fulfilling educational requirements.

• Completion of at least three years of supervised clinical hours in a mental health setting, following state regulations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
