Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up care, tailoring approaches based on individual patient needs and circumstances.

• Coordinate and determine appropriate mental health care dispositions for patients, ensuring seamless transitions into various levels of care.

• Document all clinical interactions and complete required statistical reports to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
\n
• Engage with the Department of Correction to facilitate access to care, treatment plans, and housing arrangements for patients under their supervision.
\n
• Collaborate with other institutional programs and services, ensuring holistic coordination of care for patients with complex needs.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions on mental health observation units, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Participate actively in mental health and medical rounds, sharing insights and contributing to multidisciplinary discussions that enhance patient care.
\n
• Facilitate case conferences and treatment planning sessions, advocating for the best interests of patients receiving or being considered for mental health treatment.
\n
• Oversee psychological testing as required and provide supervision to social work interns or student volunteers to enhance their clinical skills.

• Engage in weekly clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor, fostering professional development and adhering to best practice standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Possession of a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential for this role.
