Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Ridgewood, allowing Physical Therapists to work closely with colleagues, patients, and the interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough musculoskeletal assessments to evaluate patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on post-operative rehabilitation, injury prevention, and effective pain management strategies.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation, and myofascial release to aid in restoring patients' physical functions.
• Educate patients on crucial topics such as postural alignment and ergonomic corrections, empowering them with the knowledge to prevent future injuries.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and progress notes using Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with peers during weekly case review meetings to share insights and optimize treatment strategies for complex patient cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a broad spectrum of patients, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to adults facing post-surgical rehabilitation. We emphasize personalized care for each individual, requiring an understanding of various orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions to provide effective rehabilitation tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Qualifications

• A valid physical therapy license in good standing in the State of New Jersey is required.
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) must be obtained prior to starting employment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is essential.
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of orthopedic treatments and rehabilitation techniques.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients and educate them on their rehabilitation journey.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and also independently, adapting to the needs of each patient.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience focusing on orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.
• A solid foundation in evidence-based practices, with an ability to develop tailored exercise programs for patients across different ability levels and with various comorbidities.
