In this full-time, remote role based in Fresno, California, you will provide essential mental health services tailored to the diverse needs of students within a detox center environment, thereby positively impacting their educational journey and overall well-being.

Work Environment\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in our organization, you will operate within a detox center that emphasizes a secure and nurturing environment for students. While this position is predominantly remote, you will occasionally engage in in-person assessments and therapy sessions, necessitating that you remain flexible and responsive to the needs of both students and the organization. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, gathering comprehensive information about their personal histories, presenting concerns, and existing risk factors to accurately diagnose and formulate relevant treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, focusing on addressing specific mental health challenges and promoting emotional resilience that supports academic success.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, ensuring that interventions are tailored to each student’s unique needs.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate personal development, help students regulate their emotions, and teach effective coping strategies that are vital during their educational experience.

• Work closely with a variety of mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care, coordinating treatment plans and sharing insights to enhance the overall care model for students.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and ensuring that appropriate referrals for higher levels of care are made when necessary.

• Educate students and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources that can aid in their recovery process and empower them to take an active role in their mental wellness.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards established within the mental health field.

• Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and staff development activities to advance your knowledge and foster collaborative practices that benefit student care.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health law, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertinent to school settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the mental health needs of students, particularly those facing challenges related to various mental health disorders, emotional trauma, and situational crises often exacerbated by the detox process. This role requires sensitivity to the unique needs of young individuals from diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages personal growth and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in either a mental health or educational setting is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
