Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is based onsite at our outpatient therapy office in Leesburg, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations across a variety of diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, using modalities such as exercise therapy, manual therapy, and assistive device training.
• Implement treatment plans to alleviate pain and restore function, tracking patient progress meticulously and adjusting plans as needed.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on treatment procedures, self-care techniques, and safe practices regarding the use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment sessions, outcomes, and progress towards achieving therapeutic goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and continuing education courses, ensuring you remain current with advancements in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions. Many patients will require rehabilitation to regain mobility and manage pain effectively. As part of your role, you will ensure that each patient receives customized care that addresses their unique needs and recovery objectives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly preferred).
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer systems for patient management and documentation.
• A flexible and proactive approach to treatment, adapting methods to best fit individual patient scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical environment is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in outpatient physical therapy is considered an asset.
