Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Clinical Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and nature of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using standardized evaluation tools.

• Collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Delivering evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders and promote recovery.

• Educating clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and self-management strategies to enhance engagement and understanding.

• Monitoring client progress through regular follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on individual responses.

• Working closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care, sharing vital information and strategies for the best patient outcomes.

• Keeping abreast of the latest research developments in mood disorder treatments to refine therapeutic techniques and enhance service delivery.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings aimed at improving practices and discussing challenging cases.

• Advocating for clients by working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and ensuring patients' rights and needs are prioritized.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a clinician will focus primarily on individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. You will engage with a varied demographic, addressing each client with the understanding that their unique experiences and cultural backgrounds play important roles in their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to create meaningful rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and its application in integrated mental health treatment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is required, preference will be given to candidates with specific experience in treating mood disorders and a proven history of successful patient outcomes. Comfort with digital counseling methods and telehealth platforms is highly beneficial.
