Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Description Mechanical Air Conditioning Corp is seeking an experienced Charge Bookkeeper to join our organization. Your expertise will drive the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization. In this vital role, you will manage all aspects of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Your proactive approach and deep understanding of accounting principles will empower us to make informed financial decisions and maintain strong fiscal health. This is NOT a remote work position. In this position, you will: Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable governmental accounting standards Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring data accuracy using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes‑Oxley Act) controls for internal audit requirements and implement best practices for financial data security Assist with budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and credit analysis to support organizational growth Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper Experience in the residential air conditioning and construction areas is highly desired A minimum of 2 years management experience required Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar platforms Strong understanding of accounting principles and job costing Deep understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits Strong data entry skills with high accuracy; ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently Excellent math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Background check and drug screen required We are an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
