Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions via video conferencing or in-person as needed, addressing each client's unique challenges and contributing to their therapeutic goals.

• Implement personalized treatment plans that include anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, targeted at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills of both youth and caretakers to help manage and resolve in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring comprehensive support for each client and their family dynamics.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of sessions, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to designated submission timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly case conferences, sharing insights and recommendations to optimize patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is on children aged 3-20 who require specialized support due to developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role is pivotal in providing tailored therapeutic interventions that foster emotional and psychological growth, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for both the children and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Current and unrestricted LMFT license in Florida.
\n
• Availability to commit at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability as an added benefit.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to facilitate in-home consultations when necessary.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprint clearance.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 3 years of direct therapeutic experience, particularly with children and families facing challenges associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Strong background in providing positive behavior support tactics and strategies to help families manage challenging behaviors.
\n
• Experience working with bilingual populations, particularly Spanish or Portuguese speakers, is highly desirable, enhancing communication and understanding with diverse families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
