Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their symptoms.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes and improvements.

• Partner with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in client documentation and interactions.
\n
• Participate in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to foster a collaborative team culture.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs while working to combat stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding these conditions, and the ability to empathize with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, refugee status, or domestic violence. You will make a significant positive impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
