26-27 AY Temporary Faculty Pool (Lecturer) - Chicano and Latin American Studies Job no: 556729 Work type: Instructional Faculty – Temporary/Lecturer Location: Fresno Categories: Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Temporary, Part Time Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses such as Chicano Artistic Expression or other courses identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students. Prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, homework, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams. Ensure timely delivery of all classes in the scheduled mode (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid). Adhere to university and system‑wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2. Compensation Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code 2358). For the semester, a master’s degree holder is paid $5,507–$6,677 per month for 15 WTUs; actual monthly salary is adjusted based on WTUs assigned. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in Ethnic Studies, Chicanx Studies, Latinx Studies, Multicultural Education, Latin American Studies with an emphasis in Literature, Art, Gender Studies or a closely related field. Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds. Preferred: Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level and evidence of teaching excellence. Experience with online and hybrid instruction. Appointment Conditions Appointments are contingent upon budget and enrollment and subject to the “Order of Work” as defined in the CSU‑CFA collective bargaining agreement. Temporary faculty must be eligible to work in the U.S. and are not sponsored for work visas. Application Procedures An online application review will continue on a rolling basis.
