Benefits Program Manager The Benefits Program Manager is responsible for the design, governance, and execution of the company’s global benefits programs. This role leads the design, administration, and continuous improvement of health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Benefits Program Manager partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure benefits offerings remain competitive, cost‑effective, and aligned with business strategy. This role plays a key part in executing the company’s benefits strategy, managing vendor relationships, and driving initiatives that enhance employee well‑being and engagement across multiple regions and markets. Responsibilities Health and Wellness Program Leadership: Oversee the execution and administration of health and wellness programs, including medical plans, executive wellness initiatives, and financial health programs such as HSAs and FSAs. Evaluate program performance and recommend enhancements that improve employee outcomes and cost efficiency. Retirement and Voluntary Benefits: Develop and manage the strategic direction of retirement programs, including 401(k) plans and other financial benefits. Oversee voluntary benefits offerings such as commuter benefits, adoption assistance, and supplemental insurance programs. PTO and Leave Policy Governance: Establish governance frameworks for paid time off (PTO) policies and oversee complex leave programs including FMLA, parental leave, disability, and other statutory or company‑provided leave programs. Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Programs: Provide oversight for workers’ compensation and unemployment programs, ensuring effective administration, vendor coordination, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Vendor Management and Negotiation: Lead vendor management activities including broker partnerships, contract negotiations, and RFP processes. Monitor vendor performance and ensure services are delivered efficiently and in alignment with company objectives. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure benefits programs comply with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations across operating regions. Oversee regulatory filings such as Form 5500 and coordinate audit preparation, including Department of Labor reviews. Technology and HRIS Integration: Provide insight into benefits administration technology and HRIS integrations (such as Workday or ADP). Partner with People Technology teams to optimize system functionality, automate workflows, and improve employee self‑service capabilities. Employee Engagement and Benefits Communication: Increase employee understanding and engagement with benefits programs through targeted communications, education initiatives, and data‑informed engagement strategies. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 7–10+ years of experience managing benefits programs end‑to‑end across a variety of jurisdictions; experience with benefits platforms and HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems, including system integrations, benefits workflows, and employee self‑service functionality. Analytical Capabilities: Strong quantitative, analytical skills; ability to interpret complex benefits data and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of benefits regulations, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA; experience supporting audits and regulatory filings. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate complex benefits information into clear employee messaging. Collaboration & Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strong collaboration skills to work across HR, Finance, Legal, and vendor partners; high level of discretion with confidential employee data. Problem‑Solving & Organizational Effectiveness: Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments. Continuous Learning: Awareness of regulatory developments and industry best practices to continuously improve program effectiveness. Salary Base salary range: $98,780 – $123,480. Eligibility for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision). Compensation may vary by region and experience.
