Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Providing crisis intervention and ongoing assessment to inmates, tailoring treatment plans to address the unique challenges faced by each patient.

• Completing necessary documentation, reports, and statistical data to communicate patient progress and contribute to the overall healthcare project.

• Collaborating closely with the Department of Corrections to facilitate patient access, coordinate appropriate housing arrangements, and ensure suitable treatment dispositions.

• Leading group therapy sessions focused on mental health interventions for designated units, enhancing peer support and engagement among participants.

• Participating in clinical supervision sessions weekly to refine your skills and receive guidance from experienced Clinical Supervisors.

• Being an active member of mental health rounds, participating in treatment planning, case conferences, and consulting on patient care within the correctional setting.

• Conducting psychological testing as required to further inform treatment strategies and outcomes.

• Occasionally supervising and mentoring social work interns or volunteers to foster professional development within the mental health field.

• Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel to support the unit effectively.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid professional experience providing direct care within a behavioral health setting.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to USD 130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
