This position is based in an outpatient office, allowing for a remote work arrangement that enhances work-life balance. The typical schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs and emotional well-being of children and adolescents, ensuring thorough understanding through direct interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement tailored individual treatment plans, taking into account the developmental stages of the children and family dynamics that play a critical role in their mental health.
\n
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, addressing a wide array of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to equip parents and caregivers with effective strategies for nurturing supportive environments for their children.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care, ensuring all aspects of the patient’s health are addressed.

• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, working to stabilize children in immediate distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal requirements, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in weekly team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and learning from others’ expertise.

• Stay informed about advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry through continued professional development and networking opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, working closely with individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. In this position, building trusting relationships with both the patients and their families is crucial to promoting their overall well-being and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure in New York as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT is necessary to practice.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as effective treatment modalities, is essential.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to employ a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) software and other relevant technologies in practice is expected.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on child and adolescent therapy.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy sessions tailored to young clients.

• Ability to establish rapport and foster trusting relationships with children, adolescents, and their families, enhancing therapeutic engagement.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
