Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and concerns of children and adolescents in a timely manner.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate the developmental stages, family dynamics, and unique circumstances of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, tailoring approaches to address diverse mental health challenges and promoting resilience and coping skills among young clientele.

• Provide family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with effective communication strategies and parenting techniques to support their child's mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop coordinated treatment strategies and ensure comprehensive care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support for patients facing mental health emergencies, working passionately to stabilize and guide them through critical times.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of patient care that adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance clinical skills.

• Stay updated on best practices, research advancements, and methodologies relevant to child and adolescent psychiatry to deliver impactful patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will focus on fostering the mental health of children and adolescents. You will engage with a diverse patient population who may struggle with emotional, behavioral, and psychological obstacles. Your adeptness in building rapport and trust will be essential in creating a safe and supportive environment, enabling effective therapeutic practices and impactful outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience working with children, adolescents, or families.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, combined with expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in individual and family therapy, showcasing a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young individuals.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills characterized by a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in related computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually.
