Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, taking into consideration developmental stages and familial dynamics.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to effectively address a variety of mental health issues.

• Engage in family therapy sessions, empowering parents and caregivers to foster supportive home environments that encourage emotional growth.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other specialists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care, maximizing positive patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating sound judgment and effective communication skills.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and available community resources to promote understanding and self-advocacy.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. You will be instrumental in providing culturally sensitive support to diverse families, recognizing the importance of including familial perspectives in treatment strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy to youth populations is required.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

• A collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

• Experience participating in clinical supervision and mentoring of less experienced clinicians is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
