Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health evaluations for children and adolescents to determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate developmental considerations and family dynamics, ensuring individualized approaches for each patient.

• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, adapting methods to suit the unique needs of young clients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower caregivers in supporting their children, creating an environment conducive to healing and growth.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care plans and regular patient progress reviews.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for young individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and emotional stability.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment goals, and accessible community resources that promote ongoing well-being.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and secure documentation of all client interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives to enhance skills and clinical knowledge.

• Stay updated on recent research, treatment methodologies, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to ensure the application of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on the mental health challenges faced by children and adolescents, including those dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the privilege of guiding young clients through their unique mental health journeys and supporting their families in cultivating nurturing environments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on children and adolescents preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic methods.

Compensation and Benefits\n
