This role is fully remote, allowing our counselors to create a comfortable workspace while providing quality care to clients. Our team leverages electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to seamlessly track client progress and streamline administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting thorough case histories from initial consultations through to discharge.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, interpreting assessment results to inform treatment plans.
\n
• Design individualized intervention and recovery strategies for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to meet diverse needs.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout their therapeutic journey, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to improve outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Proactively identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.
\n
• Provide support to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with the tools to address mental health issues effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily includes individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and various behavioral issues. You will work with clients across different age groups and backgrounds, requiring a flexible and culturally competent approach to care. Our telehealth model allows us to reach clients in various locations, expanding access to necessary mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR.
\n
• In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health counseling.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience working with clients facing a range of mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working in a telehealth environment or familiarity with virtual counseling techniques.

• Ability to recognize and understand the impact of medications and other health-related factors affecting mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
