Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide immediate crisis counseling for clients in distress, including assessments and interventions tailored to varying needs.

• Review and respond to patient referrals and support requests received through Maxient, ensuring timely updates to client records to facilitate ongoing care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to federal, state, and professional standards while implementing best practices in documentation.
\n
• Design and deliver training sessions and outreach programs for students and staff, focusing on mental health awareness and supportive strategies.
\n
• Offer consultations to students, faculty, and staff regarding mental health challenges and appropriate interventions, acting as a resource on best support practices.
\n
• Plan, implement, and evaluate mental health services and wellness initiatives aimed at enhancing academic performance and retention rates through proactive mental health outreach.

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing a spectrum of health concerns, including mental health and substance use disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on students and young adults navigating various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. In this role, you will support a diverse client base, ensuring that every individual receives tailored care that respects their unique background and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Active Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCPC, or LMHC in California is required. Please note that we cannot accept applicants with an associate's license, as they are not eligible for Medicare billing.

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, or psychology, or an equivalent qualification.
\n
• Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, is essential for documentation and communication purposes.

• A high degree of self-direction and the ability to work independently without close supervision in a fast-paced setting is crucial.

Experience with crisis intervention and emergency management is highly valued.
