Work Environment

As a member of our clinical staff, you may encounter typical workplace challenges, such as exposure to communicable diseases, which is managed through stringent safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, accurately identifying both normal and abnormal findings that inform treatment decisions.
• Order, interpret, and communicate results from laboratory and diagnostic tests, guiding patient management effectively.
• Develop and implement both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, continuously monitoring the effectiveness of these interventions.
• Educate patients and their families on various skin conditions and treatment protocols, fostering a deeper understanding of health maintenance and preventive care.
• Perform dermatological procedures including, but not limited to, mole removal and cryotherapy, in accordance with your training and privileges.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Assist in the achievement of payer performance measures through diligent record-keeping and patient engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents struggling with acne to adults undergoing skin cancer screenings. Each interaction requires sensitivity to patient concerns and an ability to communicate effectively about complex medical information in a way that is understandable and reassuring. Our practice emphasizes building trust and rapport with patients, ensuring they feel valued and informed throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A diploma from an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant and current CPR certification are essential, as is a valid state license to practice.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical care setting is mandatory, preferably within dermatology or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $150,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
