Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physician Assistant, you will have a variety of responsibilities, which include:

• Conducting comprehensive medical assessments and physical exams of pediatric patients to formulate appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Managing outpatient visits, including health maintenance, immunizations, and acute care for common childhood illnesses.
• Collaborating with pediatricians and healthcare specialists to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Documenting all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this position:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• A minimum of one year’s clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a pediatric setting.
• Proven ability to document patient information effectively, communicate clearly, and represent the organization in professional manners.

Preferred Experience

While one year of experience is required, candidates with more extensive backgrounds in pediatrics are highly encouraged to apply. Additionally, those applicants who obtained their Nurse Practitioner certification before it became a requirement are also eligible if they possess relevant hands-on experiences.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Pediatric Physician Assistant role ranges from USD 80,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
