Work Environment\n

The work setting for this position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your working hours based on client appointments. The role requires proactive communication with patients, primary care providers, and other team members within a collaborative treatment environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide initial patient assessments and intakes that focus on both diagnostic and functional evaluations, delivering insights to primary care providers regarding treatment goals and plans.

• Deliver brief, targeted interventions to patients requiring mental health support, ensuring their needs are met within the primary care context.
\n
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to address evolving needs.
\n
• Develop relapse prevention plans and assist clients in maintaining stable functioning, especially for those identified as 'at risk.'
\n
• Coordinate healthcare services related to behavioral health, actively linking patients with other treatment providers as needed.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress in treatment charts, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.
\n
• Consult with management and fellow clinicians about behavioral health services and contribute to areas of program evaluation.
\n
• Provide self-management skills and educational resources to empower patients in their own recovery journey.
\n
• Assist patients in navigating medical treatments prescribed by primary care providers, offering coping strategies for any medication side effects.
\n
• Adhere to the established Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.
\n
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the clinic’s mission and objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including children, families, and individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work closely with patients experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties. Your role will be critical in integrating mental health care with primary health services, ensuring holistic treatment for the individuals in our care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.

• A current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and various therapeutic modalities, including DSM-IV diagnostics and behavioral therapy.

• Ability to cultivate effective, cooperative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues in a clinical setting.
\n
• Strong understanding of community resources and how to leverage them to support patient care.
\n
• Capacity to assess patient needs and create tailored treatment plans that address specific challenges.
\n
• Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
\n
• Experience in integrated healthcare settings, particularly within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), is highly desirable.

• Prior experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural considerations in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The proposed salary range for this position is USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a sign-on bonus to new hires.
