Position Overview Position title: Pediatric Allergy/Immunology Faculty Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $190,000 - $265,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position Description The University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Department of Pediatrics and Rady Children's Health are committed to academic excellence among their faculty, staff, and students. We are seeking Pediatric Allergists/Immunologists (Clinical and/or Physician-Scientist) to join our Division of Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology. The Pediatric Allergy/Immunology Section is a team of 6 faculty physicians, 2 affiliate physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, 5 clinical research coordinators, and several dedicated nurses and medical assistants. The team cares for a varied range of patients with allergic and immunologic disorders from a large catchment area throughout Southern California, Western Arizona, Northern Mexico, and the outer Pacific Islands. We foster excellence in clinical care and translational innovations through intra-specialty clinics, including food allergy, drug allergy, immunodeficiency, and recurrent fever disorders, and multidisciplinary clinics for severe asthma, eczema, and eosinophilic esophagitis. The Allergy/Immunology division in the Department of Pediatrics, its affiliates, and its adult counterpart in the Department of Medicine at UCSD have a strong track record of basic and translational research and provide a unique collaborative research environment, as well as participating in national and international multicenter clinical trials. The selected candidates will support the mission of delivering high-quality care across the spectrum of allergic and immunologic disease, teaching fellow and resident trainees, and scholarly activities among faculty, students, and staff. The selected candidates may also lead or participate in research related to one or more of the division‑related academic interests for the benefit of the children and their families that we care for. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.
