Position Overview

Cottage Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at our rehabilitation center located in Carteret, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with mobility challenges due to injury, disease, or surgery, establishing baseline data to inform treatment decisions.
• Create individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based methods including therapeutic exercises, hands-on manual therapy, and state-of-the-art equipment aimed at pain reduction and mobility improvement.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments, responses, and modifications to ensure adherence to therapeutic goals.
• Adapt treatment strategies as necessary, setting new goals in response to patient progress and feedback.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on proper use of assistive devices, self-care techniques, and physical therapy exercises to foster independence and self-management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and enhance interdisciplinary communication in the pursuit of optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in professional development by attending workshops, and engaging in continuous education to remain abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Cottage Physical Therapy, our patient population includes individuals recovering from various physical challenges, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility issues. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with a diverse group of patients, learning to tailor your approach to meet each individual's unique circumstances, ensuring the highest quality of care and promoting long-term health and wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively connect with patients and healthcare team members.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and electronic health records management.
• Highly adaptable, empathetic, and patient-centered in approach.
• New graduates are welcome; prior work experience is not required.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and therapy techniques is a plus.
• Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is beneficial, but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
