Work Environment\n

This role is remote, enabling you to provide essential services from your own home while maintaining a strong connection with the students and families you serve. Although remote, you will have close interactions with school staff and administrators, collaborating to address the unique emotional and behavioral challenges faced by students in Norfolk, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students who exhibit symptoms of major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders.

• Develop and implement integrated care plans that incorporate input from family members, teachers, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.

• Provide one-on-one therapy, group therapy, and family counseling sessions tailored to individual client needs.
\n
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss progress, coordinate care efforts, and enhance service delivery.

• Assist with crisis intervention strategies and emergency response protocols when necessary.

• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical services rendered, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and organizational reporting requirements.

• Engage with parents and guardians to educate them about mental health resources and interventions available for their children.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving children and adolescents within an educational setting, addressing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping students navigate their emotions and achieve academic and personal success. Moreover, you will be an advocate for student rights and work diligently to reduce stigma surrounding mental health in schools.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
