This position is based onsite within a school setting, providing direct care to students. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations, to diagnose conditions accurately and develop extensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards, while safeguarding patient privacy and information security.
• Regularly monitor and document the progress of patients, providing follow-up care as necessary, and adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Engage in effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and school staff, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
• Participate in health education initiatives designed to inform students, parents, and staff about various health topics, fostering a culture of wellness within the school community.
• Stay current with medical research and best practices through continuous education, attending professional workshops and training sessions as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The NP will primarily engage with school-aged children, addressing their medical needs, providing preventive care, and managing chronic health issues. This vital role contributes significantly to the overall academic and personal development of students, as access to timely medical care can enhance students' focus, attendance, and performance in school.

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Possess an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• A Master's degree in Nursing, completion of a Doctor of Nursing Practice program, or NP Certificate Program required.
• Hold valid U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to define, monitor, and enforce quality of practice standards in alignment with our organizational goals.
• Commitment to maintaining eligibility requirements for professional certification and engagement in continuous professional growth.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a school-based health setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 per year, determined by caseload and experience.
