Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a structured schedule. Our mental health counselors typically work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patient needs, paving the way for personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy in delivering patient care.

• Facilitate supportive psychoeducational groups to foster community and address common mental health issues, encouraging peer support and understanding.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Serve as an educational resource for patients on mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and available community supports.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to continuously improve patient care strategies and programming.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population largely includes individuals facing addiction issues, as well as those grappling with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. You'll serve a diverse clientele, working with individuals, couples, and families. This role emphasizes the importance of cultural competence and empathy in treatment, tailoring approaches to meet varied backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in conducting impactful mental health assessments and developing actionable treatment plans.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy, ideally in outpatient settings.

• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong ethical foundation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this full-time Mental Health Counselor position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000.
