Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include:

• Continuously evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjusting them based on client progress.

• Facilitating individual counseling sessions that promote the development of coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.

• Collaborating with clients to create personalized service plans geared toward enhancing daily living skills and community engagement.

• Educating clients on available community resources, ensuring they receive the services they need, and advocating for their access to these services.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment outcomes while minimizing paperwork to maximize client interaction time.

Your primary focus will include working with adults facing various mental health challenges, helping them navigate their experiences while fostering independence. The diverse clients you will engage with may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health disorders that affect their ability to thrive in community settings.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this vital role, candidates must hold:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid state license as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).

• The ability to practice independently, demonstrating no prior disciplinary actions on your license.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine empathy towards clients, facilitating a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and communication, along with a reliable Wi-Fi connection for telehealth sessions.
