Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and the ability to manage your schedule effectively. However, interaction with our outpatient office in Edison, New Jersey will be required for team meetings and collaborative sessions. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional flexibility to accommodate our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed assessments to identify and understand each patient’s unique trauma history, enabling targeted treatment strategies.

• Develop and curate individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, fostering resilience and coping strategies.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through trauma processing and the development of effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to provide holistic care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during traumatic events, ensuring patients feel safe and understood.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, offering resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records to comply with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in continuous professional development and team consultations, striving for excellence in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including adults, adolescents, and potentially children, depending on the cases assigned. You will encounter diverse stories of resilience and struggle, providing tailored support to help them navigate their emotions and challenges. This role requires a solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatments effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey is necessary.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• A profound understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies is crucial.

• A demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor.
