Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Maintain rigorous professional standards of confidentiality, ethics, and adherence to the guidelines established by relevant professional associations.

• Participate actively in weekly staff meetings to discuss case plans, treatment modalities, and client progress reviews.
\n
• Document treatment plans and progress notes promptly after each client session, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.

• Plan and implement campus-wide mental health programming and workshops aimed at fostering resilience and coping strategies among students.
\n
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans that address individual client goals.
\n
• Engage with multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating on providing comprehensive care to promote overall mental health.

• Perform additional duties as required to support the mission and goals of Sun River Behavioral Services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with college students and young adults facing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and stress related to academic pressures. Your contribution will help foster a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to share their experiences and seek help. This diverse client population requires counselors who are sensitive to the unique pressures faced by individuals in a collegiate setting.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Possession of an independent license to practice in California: LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently document session notes and treatment plans following industry best practices.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a college counseling setting or familiarity with issues faced by young adults.

• Prior experience with telehealth or virtual counseling platforms is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
