Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and therapeutic preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), employing appropriate techniques tailored to each client.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to promote understanding and active participation in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders, contributing to the continuous improvement of treatment strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your clients may also include vulnerable groups such as the homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. By providing compassionate and targeted therapeutic intervention, you will play a vital role in their recovery journey, empowering them to cope with and overcome their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
