Work Environment\n

This role primarily operates in an outpatient office setting with a remote work option, allowing therapists to conduct individual therapy sessions in the comfort of their own home or in the community. Our clinic emphasizes a collaborative team approach, ensuring our therapists work together seamlessly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care. Current openings are available statewide, inviting licensed bilingual Spanish or Portuguese-speaking therapists to cater to our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions either in a remote capacity or at our outpatient clinic, focusing on children, adolescents, and their families.

• Implement targeted interventions that aim to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression while enhancing anger management, coping strategies, and social skills.

• Collaborate with caregivers to enhance decision-making abilities, addressing behavioral challenges effectively within their homes.
\n
• Engage in consistent communication with multidisciplinary teams to ensure aligned treatment plans and recommendations based on the latest therapeutic insights.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all interactions and progress notes in compliance with organizational protocols and specified deadlines.

• Participate in regular meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to continually improve therapeutic approaches and foster an environment of shared knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on children and adolescents aged 3-20 years, particularly those facing challenges related to developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. Our therapists will utilize their expertise to create meaningful therapeutic relationships, empowering clients and their families by providing them with the skills and confidence needed to navigate daily challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 PM, with weekend adjustments considered favorable.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for potential in-home therapy sessions.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Practical experience in providing behavior support and interventions in clinical and home settings.

• Prior experience working with children who present with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
