Management Company Assistant Controller/Controller - Top PE Firm

You will have the opportunity to help a growing financial services (PE) firm. With multiple locations, you will be working out of their NYC office (currently hybrid). The ideal candidate will have 8-13 years of corporate/management accounting OR audit (top 10 accounting firm) experience. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of the financial statements Be a key member helping out with the month, quarter, and year-end close process Help with journal entries, the GL, reconciliations, etc. Bridge the gap between accounting and finance in helping with some budgeting and forecasting Be a resource for audit inquiries Analyze high risk accounts on the balance sheet and income statement to recommend any better methods Have an analytical mindset and help out with process improvement initiatives Respond to department requests and special projects as they arise Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business from top tier school 8 – 13 years of relevant experience in the accounting, finance, or business Note: Qualified candidates will be contacted.
